Today, Belltown Alpha Renewables announces that it has acquired the operating 500kW Aldercombe Barton wind farm in Cornwall from its developers, Green Cat Renewables Developments and Prelec. This is the fifth 500kW FIT turbine that the joint venture between Belltown Power and Alpha Real Capital have acquired, and adds further operating capacity to the four similar sites across England and Wales that were all successfully constructed and commissioned by Belltown Alpha Renewables in 2014.

Paul Hewett, Investment Director at Belltown Power said “We are delighted to continue to work with Alpha Real Capital to extend the 30MW portfolio that we have built together. We are also excited to be helping developers like Green Cat to recycle the capital that they invested in constructing these types of projects, in order for them to continue to develop new renewable energy projects both in the UK and abroad.”

Phillip Rose, CEO of Alpha Real Capital, said “We are pleased with the addition of Aldercombe Barton to our growing wind portfolio and continued relationship with Belltown Power. The focus in 2016 will remain on acquisition of operating assets with strong underlying cash flows across diversified technologies and locations.

Gavin Catto, Director of Green Cat Renewables commented, “This is a great piece of business that allows us to release some equity that we will reinvest in our portfolio of development sites.”
